A clutch of out-of-print Crichton novels, written by the author during his time studying at Harvard Medical School, is destined for republication in e-book format on July 23.
Writing under several pseudonyms -- John Lange, Jeffrey Hudson, Michael Douglas -- Crichton had a prodigious output that saw him lay the foundation for a career in popular fiction that included "Jurassic Park," "The Andromeda Strain," "Disclosure," and "Congo," all of which became feature films, a hallmark of Crichton's work.
"I was fortunate enough to work with [Michael] for more than 30 years," said Jane Friedman, CEO of publisher Open Road. "What a joy it is to bring the young Michael Crichton to life for his millions of fans and to introduce him to a generation that has not as yet discovered him."
