If you are someone who lives, breathes and enjoys every graphic detail a comic book has to offer, here’s something that could make your day. Leaping Windows, the city’s only exclusive comic book library, has come out with a monthly online newsletter that gives fanatics and followers a lowdown of everything happening in the world of graphic novels. Titled Leaplet, the first newsletter out in September, logged 437 reads and comprised reviews, features and even an editorial explaining on what readers can expect in the newsletter.

“Our library has now completed a year and we realised that some books are never read. Also, people are always asking us for recommendations on what to read because they are unsure about what to pick up. So we thought that this might help,” says Bidisha Basu, co-founder of Leaping Windows. Though people associated with the library came up with the matter featured in the first newsletter, they hope to get the average comic book follower to contribute more in the coming editions in the form of features, reviews, strips and interviews with authors. “The only thing it won’t have is news, but it will contain topical features,” says Basu.

People interested in writing can get in touch with the Leaping Windows team. “But we aren’t looking for quality. Just a strong opinion,” says Basu, adding that you don’t need to be a member of the library to be featured.
