On October 12, Del Ray Books will release a new book,
The Making of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back
, by JW Rinzler. Director Ridley Scott wrote the foreword for the new volume. The footage in this book video explains the in-depth research that went into the making of the film from the weather to the creation of the Yoda puppet. It offers a look into the Lucasfilm Archives, where Rinzler had complete access to never-before-seen photos and concept art by Ralph McQuarrie.
