Formed six years ago, the literature society of Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology (IGIT) is crazy about novels. “We formed this society as we wanted to keep the spirit of literature alive in an absolutely tech-driven college,” says Yashna Sharma, president Technoliterati. For students, the society is a welcome change from the all the tech-stuff that surrounds them. For the members, it’s a matter of pride. "We don’t have to prove our intellect. Getting membership in this society is proof enough of it," says 1st year student, Muskan Arora. "Even teachers treat us with respect," she adds.

To be a part of the group, one needs to undergo two rigorous rounds of tests. Hopefuls need to display their creativity, and must be polished speakers. “Only those who are an avid readers or good writers apply. So the selection becomes comparatively easier,” says Sonal Teotia, General Secretary.
