NEW DELHI: Aluminium maker Hindalco on Thursday reported a 95% decline in consolidated net profit at ₹44.81 crore during the April-June quarter, against ₹854.21 crore a year ago, mainly hit by impairment charges and write-downs. Total consolidated income fell 4% to ₹1,00,042.16 crore during the quarter, compared to ₹1,04,281.10 crore in the same period of the previous fiscal. Total expenses were, however, lower at ₹95,537.82 crore, against ₹98,927.09 crore in the year-ago quarter.
