MUMBAI: Sajjan Jindal-led JSW Steel reported a multi-fold jump in consolidated net profit at ₹1,109 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2016, against ₹21.2 crore a year-ago, on the back of cost reduction. Revenue rose 2.19% to ₹12,720 crore during the quarter, against the year-ago period. Expenses were lower at ₹9,666 crore.
