SAN FRANCISCO: Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella took home $17.7 million as salary in the financial year ended June 2016 — which is down 3% from last year – as his $12 million stock-based compensation dipped modestly, The Seattle Times reported on Tuesday. “His base salary of $1.2 million was unchanged from the prior year,” it said. Kevin Turner, who left Microsoft as chief operating officer in July, was paid $12.9 million — up 6% from 2015 — and was the second-highest paid executive.
