Ricoh India chairman Takano quits after scandal

NEW DELHI: A week after admitting its accounts appear to have been “falsified”, Ricoh India said its chairman and director Tetsuya Takano has resigned from the company.

NEW DELHI: A week after admitting its accounts appear to have been “falsified”, Ricoh India said its chairman and director Tetsuya Takano has resigned from the company. It added it has appointed Ian Peter Winham as its director/ chairman with immediate effect. “The Board of Directors of the company has accepted his resignation with immediate effect,” Ricoh India added in a BSE filing. Last week, Ricoh India said after an internal investigation that its accounts appear to be have been “falsified” and estimated to incur a loss of 1,123 crore for the financial year 2015-16.
