From culinary delights to hot air ballooning and surfing adventures, some of TV’s most popular faces recall vacationing in Australia

From the splendid natural beauty of the Great Barrier Reef, and the nightlife at the Darling Harbour in Sydney to surfing on Bondi Beach — Australia has a lot to offer its visitors. And besides being the perfect season to visit (it’s summer in the country), the upcoming ICC Cricket World d Cup (that starts on February y 14) makes it the hottest holiday destination right now. Not that you need any more reasons to travel; but we spoke to some of the most t popular Indian TV actors, and got them to reveal what they love about the country.

Popular TV actor, Sakshi Tanwar fondly recalls some “incredible” experiences, including “a seaplane ride over the Sydney Harbour, a tour of the Sydney Opera House, and a visit to the beautiful Blue Mountains (in New South Wales)”. She says, “Australia is extremely picturesque — it’s landscape, wilderness and the adventures the place offers, make it an ideal holiday destination. I had a fantastic time during my visit… Australians are very warm and friendly, too, which made de the experience even more special.”

With the ICC World Cup coming up, Nakuul also talks about the biggest connecting factor between Australia and India — cricket. “My fondest memoryme is a trip to the MelbourneMe Cricket GroundGro (MCG). Being a hugehug sports enthusiast, it was like recalling all the preciousprec moments I have witnessedwitn on TV with the legendslegen of the game at that stadium,” he reminisces.remi

TV actor-host Rithvik Dhan Dhanjani loves adventure sports,sports and recalls learning to surf in Australia. “Australians made me realise what being fit means. I loved learning to surf at the Bondi Beach. The one place I would love to keep going back to is the Gold Coast. I loved the hot air balloon ride and visiting the theme parks there,” Rithvik says.
