American Express on Tuesday said it has tied up with Virgin Atlantic Airlines allowing its credit card holders to transfer their earned points into miles under the latter's frequent flyer programme.

"The inclusion of Virgin Atlantic is a valuable addition to the Membership Rewards programme. The programme is easily the most comprehensive rewards programme in India and addresses the increasingly global lifestyles of our cardmembers," American Express Product Management and Development Vice-President Simran Kalra said in a statement.
