Software education services provider Aptech Ltd plans to expand in Africa, Russia and Eastern Europe, a senior official told Reuters on Monday, without giving a timeframe.
It plans to start IT courses in French and Spanish in 2-3 years and has been short-listed for india's uniquie identification programme's IT training contract, Ninad Karpe, chief executive officer, said in an interview.
Indian IT training companies like Aptech and NIIT Technologies have been seeing higher demand globally for their services led by cheaper English medium courses by skilled professionals.
"We teach in Chinese, we have a JV there (in China) - Also Portuguese, Vietnamese and Russian... French and Spanish are the next two targets," he said.
Its Chinese JV, which filed for an initial public offering in 2009, is still considering listing in the New York, Karpe said.
The prospectus filed with the market regulator had expired in October last year and there have been no updates from the company on this since.
The firm, which is already present in Brazil and 40 other countries, has plans to foray further into Latin America.
"We are a zero debt company, we just have to localise the course curriculum so it makes sense for us to grow organically," Karpe said, ruling out acquisitions .

{{/usCountry}}In February, Aptech announced a global alliance with Microsoft Corp but declined to give any financial details of the arrangement. Karpe, however, said by 2015 the firm will have 150,000 Microsoft-certified students.
Shares in the firm ended down 1.7% at 97.55 rupees in a firm Mumbai market.
