Bharti Airtel and Zain got down on Thursday to stitch up the “definitive agreements” and approvals for the $10.7-billion deal under which Bharti will acquire the African assets of the Kuwait-based operator.

“The Board is pleased to report that due diligence process has been completed and the parties are finalising definitive agreements, which are expected to be signed in the coming days,” Zain said.
“Upon signing (the agreements), the parties will move towards getting any required approval, ” it added.
