Power equipment supplier BHEL on Monday said it has bagged an order worth Rs 703 crore for works relating the Bela Thermal Project in Maharashtra.

"BHEL has secured an order from Ideal Energy Projects Limited for the main plant package at the upcoming Bela Thermal Power Project in Maharashtra, involving one new-rating unit of 270 MW," the company said in a statement.
The scope of work for the contract envisages design, engineering erection and commissioning of boilers, BHEL said. Shares of BHEL were trading at Rs 1,995, up 0.66 per cent in late afternoon trade on the BSE.
