State-owned Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) has reported a 35.7 per cent growth in net profit for the October-December quarter — Rs 1,072.6 crore against Rs 790.6 crore last year. The company’s total income for the quarter rose to Rs 7,422.5 crore against Rs 6,328.5 crore last year. Lower raw material costs and better execution of orders boosted profits, said CMD B.P. Rao.
