Govt gives nod to draft MoU among IBSA nations

Govt approves the draft MoU between India, Brazil and South Africa (IBSA) on mutual cooperation in public administration and governance.

The government on Thursday approved the draft Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between India, Brazil and South Africa (IBSA) on mutual cooperation in public administration and governance.

"The Union Cabinet today gave its approval to the draft MoU among IBSA on cooperation in the field of public administration and governance," Information and Broadcasting Minister PR Dasmunsi told reporters.

This will provide a legal framework to the cooperation among the three countries in these fields, he said after the Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh here.

"The activities among the three sides will start after signing of the MoU by the countries, which is to be done in the second half of the current year," Dasmunsi added.
