The awards celebrate creative excellence in communicating sustainability, or ‘green’ advertising.

The event was held on Monday evening at Mumbai’s Shangri-La Hotel. A total of 35 awards were handed over by the end of the night. There were a total of 18 categories, with as many as 31 nominees.

The most-awaited award of the night —the Campaign of the year award — was awarded to Cheil Worldwide for Samsung Printers.

“We witnessed a nearly 45% increase in the number of entries for the awards this year alone,” said MG Parameswaran, executive director and chief executive officer (CEO) at Draftfcb Ulka.

“Our Awards Jury consisting of veterans like Sonal Dabral, Pops Sridhar, Vinod Rao, Chax, Ramki and Charles Victor were of the opinion that the quality of advertisements has also seen a dramatic improvement over the years,” he added.
