The country's largest two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp on Wednesday reported 9.26% rise in its consolidated net profit for the second quarter ended September 30 at Rs 481.41 crore.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 440.58 crore in the same quarter last fiscal, Hero MotoCorp said in a statement.

Net sales during the quarter under review stood at Rs 5,696.46 crore as against Rs 5,151.18 crore last fiscal, up 10.58%.
In terms of unit volume, the company said its sales during the quarter grew by 6.26% to 14,16,276 units as against 13,32,805 units units in the year-ago period.
Shares of Hero MotoCorp closed at Rs 2,086.35 per scrip, up 0.79%.
