In a move towards harnessing social media to spread its reach, HT Mobile Solutions, the mobile solutions arm of HT Media Ltd, which publishes the Hindustan Times, on Tuesday announced the acquisition of Gurgaon-based social media marketing and analytics firm Webitude. Financial details were not disclosed.

Vinish Kathuria, chief operating officer, HT Mobile Solutions, said Webitude will be part of Digital Quotient, which would help print and radio clients “leverage the power of multimedia to help establish a strong, meaningful connect with consumers.'
