A unit of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) ministry — the NSIC has been promoting its three-month capsule programme at its 52 incubation centres across the country.

"This model is not just incubation of an idea, but of a person too," HP Kumar, chairman, managing director, NSIC told Hindustan Times. "Through our on-the-job training at Okhla and other incubation centres, we're training youths as per their aptitude and ability using low-cost technology," he said.

The NSIC has showcased the concept and low-cost technology machineries at the India International Trade Fair to woo youngsters to go for self-employment.

"It's an enriching experience after visiting the NSIC stall. I've enrolled for the programme by paying Rs500 fee," a youth from Gurgaon said.
