The Indian government is confident of overcoming the impact of the global economic crisis on the domestic economy, Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee said on Tuesday.
"We will overcome the crisis," Mukherjee said in his reply to a debate on the interim budget for 2008/09.

He also said banks had been provided with enough liquidity.
