Dunkin' Donuts is a premium US brand known for food and beverage options such as doughnuts, bagels, muffins, sandwiches and hash brown among others. As it enters India the company is keen to localise its menu to suit the Indian palate. Dunkin' has more than 9,700 restaurants across 31 countries.

"We strongly believe the Dunkin' Donuts brand is relevant for India, not only due to its strength in doughnuts and coffee, but also due to a differentiated food and beverage menu," Shyam S Bhartia, chairman and Hari S Bhartia, co-chairman Jubilant FoodWorks said in a statement. "Dunkin' provides flexibility in localising recipes, and we have strengths in food and culinary areas which we intend to leverage. We will provide an excellent all-day food, coffee, beverage and doughnut menu suited to the Indian taste buds."

Jubilant FoodWorks plans to open 80 to 100 Dunkin' stores in India over the next five years. "The first will come up early next year," said Ajay Kaul, CEO of Jubilant FoodWorks.
