KFC parent firm eyes $100-mn india expansion

US-based Yum! Restaurants, the operator of the Pizza Hut, KFC and Taco Bell restaurant chains, is planning to invest over $100 million over the next 5 years in India, taking the number of outlets to 1000 from the current 300 outlets.

“It is an incremental investment which we have planned to disperse over the period of next 5 years” said Niren Chaudhary, MD, Yum! Restaurants, India, on the margins of the India Economic Summit of the World Economic Forum on Monday.
