FMCG firm Marico saw its net profit surge 9% at Rs 78.3 crore for the quarter ended September. The maker of Saffola and Parachute registered volume growth during the quarter and saw its sales surge 26% at Rs 974 crore.

The underlying volume growth was 14%. About 6% of this was through acquisitions while about 8% constituted organic volume growth.
Marico's domestic consumer products business grew 44% in value and 14% in volume terms. Its international business posted a growth of 19% while the Kaya business collections on same store basis grew by 16%.
