Markets in red; Sensex falls 231 points in early trade

The BSE benchmark index, Sensex, recorded a dip of more than 231 points, a day after the re-election of the Congress party-led coalition brought record single day gains on hopes of economic reform. While the Sensex slipped to 14,052.94, down 231,27 points, Nifty slipped to 4, 226, down 97.15 points, on emergence of profit-taking.
