India's domestic intelligence agency has asked the country's telecommunications ministry to stop Nokia's messaging services until they can be monitored, the Economic Times reported on Wednesday.

The newspaper quoted a representative of Nokia's Indian unit as saying the infrastructure required by the security agencies was being put in place.
