State-owned Oil and Natural Gas Corp (ONGC) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with National Building Construction Corp (NBCC) for construction of offices in Delhi and Mumbai.

Subir Raha, Chairman and Managing Director, ONGC and Arup Roychaudhury his counterpart in NBCC signed the MoU for the construction of the 'Green' and 'Intelligent' buildings, a company press release said in New Delhi.
The ultra modern ONGC complex at Vasant Kunj in New Delhi will house the ONGC Energy Center, Management Centre, auditorium and corporate offices of ONGC and ONGC Videsh Ltd. The Bandra-Kurla office will accommodate offices that are presently functional from hired/leased buildings in Mumbai.
NBCC will implement both the projects on a turnkey basis from 'concept-to-commissioning' within a period of 30 months.
It will also maintain and operate both the complexes for a period of one year. ONGC has incorporated a bonus provision in the MoU to encourage early completion.
"Being the greenest company in India, ONGC seeks to create 'sustainable buildings' that are energy efficient to the extent of 45-55 per cent in comparison with similar conventional buildings," the release said.
