You would think that post Steve Jobs' demise, the current Apple leadership must be cautious about what they're approving and rejecting. But apparently, there's nobody left to discern the good from bad.

You would think that post Steve Jobs' demise, the current Apple leadership must be cautious about what they're approving and rejecting. But apparently, there's nobody left to discern the good from bad.

According to Michael Margolis, an ex-Apple engineer, there's no one left to say 'no' to bad designs anymore. Referring to the recently updated Apple TV UI, he tweeted, "Those new designs were tossed out 5 years ago because SJ didn't like them. Now, there's nobody to say 'no' to them."

Margolis clarified, "The new UI shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone. There is a clear effort at Apple to make everything match the look and feel of their popular iOS products - starting with Lion and increasing momentum with Mountain Lion. To be clear - he (Steve Jobs) didn't like the original grid. This was before the iPhone was popular and before the iPad even existed," reports PC Magazine.
