PricewaterhouseCoopers may be licking wounds and walking cautiously after being questioned and criticised in the Satyam Computer corporate fraud for its alleged auditing errors, but that does stop it from teaching good corporate behaviour.

PwC will soon be giving lessons on “good governance practices from across the globe” – and that too to policy-makers looking to embrace electronic governance. Top bureaucrats and senior officials from Central ministries will be in attendance, government sources said.

The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (AR&PG) and the Department of Information Technology are among the organisers of the two national conference on the theme, “E-governance – breaking barriers and building bridges” scheduled to be held in Goa from February 12. PwC is a “knowledge partner” for the conference.

Another big global accounting firm, KPMG, and IT leader Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) are the two other knowledge partners.

The officer in-charge of conference co-ordination, Akhil Saxena, an under-secretary in the Department of AR&PG confirmed PwC’s participation.
