RBI fixes rupee reference rate at 62.15 against US dollar

The Reserve Bank of India on Monday fixed the reference rate of the rupee at 62.1580 against the US dollar and at 68.2308 for the euro as against 62.5908 and 67.5104, respectively, as on March 31.

According to a RBI statement, the exchange rates for the pound and yen against the rupee were quoted at 92.7335 and 52.23 per 100 yen, respectively, based on reference rates for the dollar and cross-currency quotes at noon. The SDR-Rupee rate would be based on this rate, the statement added.
