The Indian rupee opened 10 paise weaker and fell against the US dollar in early trade on Monday due to increased demand for dollars from importers.

At the Interbank Foreign Exchange (forex) market, the domestic unit, which fell by 57 paise to close at 50.07/10 on Friday, depreciated further by 10 paise to 50.17 against the greenback.
