Rupee gains 7 paise against dollar in early trade
The Indian rupee appreciated by 7 paise to 44.44 a dollar in early trade today on the back of continued capital inflows by foreign funds into equities and the US currency's weakness against other Asian units.

The Indian rupee appreciated by 7 paise to 44.44 a dollar in early trade today on the back of continued capital inflows by foreign funds into equities and the US currency's weakness against other Asian units.
The domestic currency had closed 13 paise higher at 44.51/52 in the previous session.
Forex dealers said the rupee strengthened against the US currency largely on continued capital inflows by foreign funds into equities and firming trend in other Asian currencies against the US dollar.
Meanwhile, the Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex continued its yesterday's rally and gathered another 128.38 points points, or 0.73 per cent at 17,631.85 points in the opening trade today.
