The Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex on Tuesday moved down by 66 points in early trade on heavy selling by funds, triggered by weak global cues.

The 30-share index, which has lost 109 points on Monday, fell further by 65.75 points to 17,425.15 in the first five minutes of trade.

Similarly, the wide-base National Stock Exchange index Nifty fell by 21.40 points to 5,170.85 point following a steep fall in heavy-weight stocks led by Bharti Airtel and Reliance Industries.
