Sensex sheds over 900 pts on global cues

The BSE 30-share index is down 4.95 per cent, or 908.5 points. It falls as much as 5 per cent to 17,443.29.

The BSE Sensex fell more than 5 per cent on Monday afternoon, tracking weaker Asian markets, with Reliance Industries and ICICI Bank leading the losses.

At 12:07 pm, the 30-share index was down 4.95 per cent, or 908.5 points. It fell as much as 5 per cent to 17,443.29.

The broader 50-share NSE index was down 5.69 per cent at 5,077.30.
