The Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex moved up by 96 points in early trade on Thursday with heavyweight stocks, led by construction segment, attracting investors.

The 30-share index, which gained over 19 points on Wednesday, added another 95.52 to 17,921.51 points in the first five minutes of trade.

National Stock Exchange index Nifty also rose by 23.30 points to 5,291.70 points as Reliance Industries, Infosys and HDFC Bank begun on a promising note.
Construction company stocks were at the centre of brisk buying. Hectic buying was seen at refinery counters also.
