However, the Indian insurance system does not offer such a service. Also, many people complain of treatment charges varying from dentist to dentist.

Taking into account these problems, dentist Rishi Panchal recently established a company called Corporate Dental Practices (CDP) for corporate clients. More than 380 dentists across 60 cities have formed a network to provide services at uniform rates to registered corporate clients.

“CDP is a platform for regularising dental practices across India,” Dr Panchal, managing director and CEO said. “Seven companies have already registered for our services.”

The unique selling preposition of the company will be the common rate card across cities. The company charges Rs 15 per person annually to cover dental insurance. At present, Dr Panchal is holding talks with top three insurance companies to provide blanket cover for their corporate and retail clients. Is the proposal materoialises, a corporate client will be able to avail the competitive rates at any of the 380 dentists in the network for any number of times.

Other insurers who have come across the proposal have also shown interest in the deal.
