Suzlon signs pact with Australia's energy firm

Pune-headquartered wind power major Suzlon Energy signed an agreement with Australia's Infigen Energy to provide 20 units of wind power generators with a capacity to generate 42 MW.

Pune-headquartered wind power major Suzlon Energy on Wednesday signed an agreement with Australia's Infigen Energy to provide 20 units of wind power generators with a capacity to generate 42 MW.

The agreement with Infigen, a renewable energy company, was signed by the Indian firm Suzlon's Australian arm -- Suzlon Energy Australia. This is the second order from Infigen, taking the total order to 183 MW.

Currently, Suzlon is executing a 141 MW capital wind farm for Infigen under an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) turnkey contract.

Infigen has 41 wind farms with an installed capacity of 2,246 MW.
