Facing the stiff attrition due to the cut throat competition, the IT majors are now turning towards youths from the interior regions of India unlike big metropolitans like Mumbai, Pune or Banglore, to get more loyal employees coming from rural parts. One such step has been taken by IT giant Wipro technologies, which has, as a part of its experiment, gone to Chindwara in Madhya Pradesh to train students.

As a part of its four-months 'finishing school' program, the Wipro technologies is eyeing students who are either graduates or even passed the 12 th standard. "We will make these students coming from rural parts, eligible for the IT companies because we believe that we can get more loyalty from these students because they are more determined to prove themselves and are likely to add more value to the company", said Azim H Premji, Chairman, Wipro limited, on Tuesday.

Premji announced this after the inauguration of the company's additional 12,000 seats facility at the Phase II of Rajiv Gandhi IT park at Hinjwadi. He said that the company's Chindwara project is four month long "finishing school' program where students will be trained for some IT skills and also the English language "More such finishing schools will be implemented in Maharashtra also", added Premji. His response came after chief minister Vilasrao Deshmukh, who was present for the inauguration of additional facility, requested Premji to go in the interior areas besides Pune and Mumbai.

Premji said that the company is also involved in two new initiatives to give emphasis on primary education. It will impart training to 120 teachers and students of 16 school from Maharashtra.
