15 injured as Tempo traveller-bus collides

At least 15 people were injured at Old Panchkula light point when a tempo traveller collided with a Himachal Roadways bus at 1.15am on Thursday.

At least 15 people were injured at Old Panchkula light point when a tempo traveller collided with a Himachal Roadways bus at 1.15am on Thursday.

The injured were taken to General Hospital, Sector 6, where they were discharged after preliminary treatment.

No passenger of the bus was injured but all 13 people in the tempo traveler, belonging to Rana family, along with their driver and cleaner sustained injuries. Seven of the family sustained head injuries whereas other suffered minor injuries on lips and cheeks.

The tempo driver's left leg was fractured whereas the bus driver suffered injuries on face and hands.

The victims were returning after visiting Vaishno Devi temple in Jammu and the Golden Temple in Amritsar and were going to Shimla when they collided with the bus.

Some of the family members were staying in Delhi and Panipat and had got together for a family visit.

The injured included Tarun, 14, Shweta, 16, Yash, 12,Roshni, 54, and Rakesh, 35, all from Gurgaon, while Pradeep, 23, resides in Panipat. Vinod, 40, Rajat, 36, Bimla, 60, Dharamveer, 54, Kavita, 35, Sahil, 12, and Deepak, 25, all residents of Delhi.
