Two Punjab police personnel, who were going for security duty at BJP' 'fateh' rally at Jagraon were killed in a road accident near Mehatpur in Jalandhar district late Friday.
Both were posted in Hoshiarpur. The deceased have been identified as head constable Rajinder Pal, a resident of Kang Mai and head constable Paramjit Singh of Nangal Salala village. Their motorcycle was hit by a Toyota Innova. They were taken to DMCH Ludhiana in critical condition where they died.
