Police registered two cases of rape involving fathers sexually assaulting their daughters for several months.
In the first case, a 40-year-old resident of Mauli Jagran was arrested for sexually assaulting his 16-year-old daughter for the past five months. The accused, a native of Uttar Pradesh, was arrested after the victim and her mother lodged a complaint with the police on Sunday night.
Following the complaint, a medical examination was conducted.
According to the victim’s complaint, her father had threatened her with dire consequences if she informed anyone about the incident. The victim’s mother came to know about the incident when her daughter confided about it. Later, the victim’s mother, who was employed in a house in Sector 9, Panchkula, told her employer about the incident. The employer took the victim and her mother to the Mauli Jagran police post and got registered a complaint.
The police registered a case of rape under relevant sections of the Prevention of Children against Sexual Offence Act.
In the second case, a 19-year-old college student was raped by her father several times for the past two months. The police on Monday night arrested her father, a resident of Maloya who works as a peon in a private firm in Sector 17.
The victim had informed her tuition teacher in Dadumajra about the incident. Her teacher took her to the police station, where she informed the police that her father would take her to a forest area near her home and sexually assault her. Following her complaint, a medical was performed and a case was registered.
