5% DA hike for state employees

The Punjab government on Thursday announced 15% hike in dearness allowance (DA) for its employees/pensioners who were getting their pay on the basis of un-revised scales.

The Punjab government on Thursday announced 15% hike in dearness allowance (DA) for its employees/pensioners who were getting their pay on the basis of un-revised scales.

The rate of DA has been enhanced from 151 to 166% of the un-revised basic pay with effect from January 1, 2013, a spokesman said, adding that the amount on account of the enhanced DA would be paid in cash with effect from July 1, 2013.
