About 70 quintal of poppy husk worth Rs 70 lakh was seized from the house of a smuggler in Talwandi Bhangarian village, police said here on Wednesday.
On a tip off, a raid was conducted yesterday and the contraband worth Rs76 lakh recovered, they said, adding that alleged smuggler Jagseer Singh was arrested.

Two other accused-- Sukhdev Singh and Gurcharan Singh--however managed to escape.
