He visited various houses and assured people that if he comes to power, the people would be provided land and compensation.

A number of houses in the village had developed cracks in 2012 after which villagers were forced to live outside or in tent. The survey conducted by district administration officials had listed the number of damaged houses to 53. The village is situated on a hill and as the hill itself developed crack, various houses have big gaps in their walls and floors.

Singh also addressed a public meeting there which was largely attended by women and children.

People showed up with complaints they were facing, particularly related to damaged houses. The issues of lack of streetlights and sewerage system were also raised.

Anand Prakash, who led the fight for conviction of former Haryana DGP SPS Rathore in molestation case of Ruchika, was also present along with Singh.

The slogans of "Pehle lade the goron se ab ladenge choron se" (earlier, we fought against the Brits, now we will fight against thieves) were also raised.

"Even if we lose the elections, we will continue to fight on issues," claimed SP Singh.
