AAP suspends 2 office-bearers for backing election candidates

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab disciplinary committee chairman Dr Daljit Singh on Saturday suspended SAS Nagar district convener JS Dhaliwal and office secretary Dilpreet Singh Gill for indulging in anti-party activities.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab disciplinary committee chairman Dr Daljit Singh on Saturday suspended SAS Nagar district convener JS Dhaliwal and office secretary Dilpreet Singh Gill for indulging in anti-party activities.

The chairperson has asked the duo for a written explanation within three days. Dr Daljit Singh maintained that he got complaints against Dhaliwal and Gill that despite the party taking a stand of not contesting the MC elections in SAS Nagar, both were trying to help candidates by giving them party backing.

Meanwhile, on Saturday candidates could be seen moving around door-to-door making one final appeal to the voters. While Congress and SAD-BJP alliance could be seen having their party meeting, independents could be seen putting appeals with the residents.
