Ambika Soni vows to make Ghanauli most developed village of state

Rajya Sabha member Ambika Soni has vowed to make Ghanuali village adopted by her under the Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana as most modern and developed village of the state within one year.

Addressing the gathering at Ghanauli village during his first visit to the village after adopting it under the scheme, Soni said she had chosen the village under the scheme keeping in view the fact that five Sikh gurus had visited the village on various occasions and it had produced seven freedom fighters.

Soni said she would make efforts for installing solar energy system in the village and funds would be arranged from the centre in this regard.

The Rajya Sabha member said she would also contact the non-resident Indians (NRIs) and motivate them to contribute to the development of the village.

She said she would arrange micro finance facility from the banks for the women folk of the village so that they could start their own vocations by forming small groups.
