American Punjabi community opens Sikh American Chamber of Commerce in city

The American Punjabi Community opened the India Centre of Sikh American Chamber of Commerce (SACC) in the city on Sunday. SACC's India president Manipal Dhariwal said, "The chamber represents a cross-section of Punjabi and Sikh American businesses and professionals engaged in promoting entrepreneurship, offering trade and business opportunities through networking and exchange of young professionals and students."

SACC's India president Manipal Dhariwal said, "The chamber represents a cross-section of Punjabi and Sikh American businesses and professionals engaged in promoting entrepreneurship, offering trade and business opportunities through networking and exchange of young professionals and students."

He added that the idea behind the chapter was to empower the Punjabi youth in the hinterland with the right kind of skills and networking opportunities not only to scale up their enterprise but also to explore newer opportunities in the global market.

President of Fresno County Economic Development Corporation , USA, Lee Ann Eager complimented the initiative and hoped that meaningful business cooperation could be planned through SACC for not only Indian but even the US businesses.

Mayor of City of San Joaquin, California, Ruby Dhaliwal said, "Tremendous potential exists for collaboration in the agriculture and agro-processing field which both the countries can explore actively through the chamber."
