Police had arrested three Asan village resident of the district on November 30 following a tip-off that they were involved in supply of answer keys through mobile application of a Railway Recruitment Board Group-D exam.

In his complaint to police, Shamsher Singh, a brother of one of the accused, claimed that investigation officer ASI Satish Kumar was pressurising them to pay him `3 lakh for settling the case.

The ASI threatened to implicate the accused with more serious criminal charges, if they did not accept his demand, he claimed.

The complainant also informed the state vigilance office about the demand and as per plan they powdered the currency notes which were later allegedly seized from the possession of the ASI.
