Badal, who was speaking to the mediapersons after inaugurating Fortis Cancer Institute here, said Sikh Panth would never succumb to these politically motivated tactics of the Congress, but was ever ready to give them a befitting reply. Badal said he was in constant touch with the central government through their emissary Shanta Kumar, who had assured them of early resolution of this vexed issue, adding he said the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) was not fond of organising morchas but at the same time they would not allow the anti-Sikh forces to weaken their institutions.

Badal said the party would chalk out its future course of action during the World Sikh Conference in Amritsar on July 27.

Expressing views over cancer institute at Fortis, the chief minister impressed upon the key players in the private health sector to come forward in setting up such quality health care institutes especially in small towns and cities to provide best medical facilities to the people at affordable rates.

Chairman of Fortis Group Shavinder Mohan Singh and executive chairman Malwinder Mohan Singh felicitated the chief minister for offering all possible assistance and giving his visionary advice to them for providing healthcare facilities at affordable rates.
