Bhuna woman alleges rape at knifepoint

A 32-year-old married woman of Bhuna town was allegedly raped by a man of the same town at knifepoint here on Wednesday. The accused has been identified as Haripal Singh.

A 32-year-old married woman of Bhuna town was allegedly raped by a man of the same town at knifepoint here on Wednesday.

The accused has been identified as Haripal Singh.

The victim approached the Bhuna police on Friday and lodged a complaint against Singh.

She told the police that she was sleeping with her 10-year-old son when the accused came around midnight on Wednesday. She alleged that the accused had placed a knife around her neck while committing the crime.

She said when she had raised the alarm her son woke up and alerted the neighbours.She said when people started gathering, the accused fled the spot.

The Bhuna police said the matter was being investigated and action would be taken against those found guilty.
