Biometric attendance system for all state offices

Deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal on Saturday ordered the installation of biometric attendance system in every Punjab government office, in Chandigarh as well as in the districts.

Deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal on Saturday ordered the installation of biometric attendance system in every Punjab government office, in Chandigarh as well as in the districts.

At his sangat darshan programme in New Delhi on Saturday, he directed chief secretary Sarvesh Kaushal to prepare a detailed proposal for installing the devices. He assured the complainants that the government would complete the project fast and link the system with a centralised control room to ensure that the employees adhered to the timings, a press release issued here has stated.

On the issue of maintaining basic facilities at dhanis (small habitations), the deputy CM said the state was preparing a policy for providing the residents there with uninterrupted power supply.
